Dr. Jane Law's scientific prowess in geoinformatics stems from her years of experience in geomatics and geostatistical research., Dr. Law has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and developed training programs specifically targeting the development and promotion of geostatistical analysis in urban planning, criminology, and health research. Dr. Law has been the Principal Investigator of a fifteen-year-long NSERC-funded project to advance spatial analysis methodologies in scientific research. Dr. Law's current project aims to develop multivariate joint models using the Bayesian framework to analyze big data with spatial and temporal components. Ambitious, motivated, and eligible students with similar research interests are encouraged to contact Dr. Jane Law for potential MSc and Ph.D. opportunities in Planning or Public Health Sciences.
